Todd Tambling's Biography

Background and InterestsTodd Tambling

After graduating from the University of Virginia, Todd served as a commissioned Field Artillery Officer in the Army, stationed in Germany, Korea, Saudi Arabia and Iraq (during Desert Storm).

After an Honorable Discharge, he began a 17 year career in Sales, Marketing, and Management in the Pharmaceutical industry with two large companies, Pfizer and Takeda.  He lead and spearheaded the efforts to win formulary acceptance for an oral diabetes agent on TRICARE (the health program for the Department of Defense), resulting in $185 million in revenue annually.

His entrepreneurial spirit led him to leave Corporate America and start a small business in which he assisted small business owners to increase revenues and drive profitability by serving as their Business Coach.  He increased his clients’ profit margins by an average of 24% during the first six months of coaching.

He then returned to my love of science and selling in his current role as Business Development Manager at Pharma Services Network.  His success has been fueled by continued self-improvement efforts.  He become a student of Jill Konrath (Selling to Big Companies), Jeffrey Gitomer (Little Red Book of Selling), and Jeff Jarvis (What Would Google Do).  By putting his newly developed skills and knowledge into action, he has dramatically increased his effectiveness in lead generation, prospecting, email and voicemail communications, creating effective value propositions, and bringing value to the customer/client.

When Todd is not selling or reading, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.  He loves living in Charlotte, North Carolina and really enjoys the weather (tennis nearly year round!)  Todd enjoys cooking dinner on the grill for friends and sharing nice bottle of red wine.  Travel is another passion and he will be heading to visit a friend in Acapulco this fall.
